“What the fuck were you doing watching her?” I snarl, staring at the bastard on his knees in the basement room we used to dispose of special guests. “What fucking performance? Don’t lie to me.”

“She was masturbating to you.” I lost it. He saw Rosalyn in the throes of passion, stealing what only belongs to me, and frightening her.

Killing that fuck was as easy as breathing. He’d walked in on Rosalyn showering and stayed to enjoy the show. He was sent to clean up the food on the floor. When he didn’t have the door open, I was livid; I rushed up the stairs to find him in the bathroom, telling her about her performance. When I asked him about the performance, he had the nerve to tell me the truth. He’d seen my morsel naked, in the throes of an orgasm. Now that would have been something to have taken to the grave.

I want to be angry with her, but I sent the bastard up there. I let my guard down, thinking not a single soul would dare to betray me and look at my morsel like that. She could have been seriously hurt if I’d left, I like had planned. By tonight, she’d be left here with my guards for protection and now I’m not sure that’s not good enough. Never before have I ever doubted my men.

An hour later Igor comes up to me with a scowl on his face as I sit in my office, thinking of ways to fortify the house. “We have some matters to deal with at the warehouse with the Falcone family.”

“I haven’t forgotten. I’ll cap them fuckers too. That’s the kind of mood I’m in today.”

“She will be okay. There isn’t a soul in this house who didn’t just see what happens when someone dares look at the boss’s mistress.” My teeth clench together when he mentions she’s my mistress. Seeing my reaction, he adds, “You know, if it’s more than that, maybe you should make it so. They won’t treat her respectfully if no one sees her as special.”

“No one disrespects Polina, do they?” Of course her husband works alongside her and the others, and he’d slice some throats.

“Yes, but she’s not your wh….” I’m out of my chair, ready to bite his head off and kill the bastard.

“Don’t finish that sentence.” He throws his hands up and takes two steps back. “I’m just saying.”

“If she was anything else to me, all my enemies would see her as something to use against me. So, she will remain my mistress.” I can’t forget the call I’d just taken with my friend in Russia and the grief he’s suffering. I am to head there tomorrow to attend a family funeral. His entire family had been slaughtered. Immediately all my thoughts went to Rosalyn and the thought of her unprotected womb. I’d been doing almost everything I could to fuck her without anything. Yes, she’s taking the birth control pills, but they don’t work right away.
